Macron NCEL Premier Division side Barton Town will be hosting a charity match next month set up by one of their players to raise awareness about baby loss and money for the Chasing Rainbows charity.

William Waudby and his partner Laura organised a similar fixture last year and it proved so successful with very generous donations that they are wanting to do the same again.

This charity event is in the memory of their beautiful daughter that they lost two weeks before she was due, on Christmas Eve 2024.

A few days after they found out, Laura bravely gave birth to their beautiful baby girl who they named Rainbow.

Chasing Rainbows aims to make people feel comfortable talking about pregnancy and baby loss.

Miscarriage and stillbirth are a taboo subject that is often avoided and they aim to encourage people to feel less alone and to support their mental health through peer-support experiences.

The match will take place at the Easy Buy Stadium on Sunday 16th August, 2026, with a 1pm kick-off - there will be a raffle, the bar will be open and food will be available.
