Retford FC secure new ground sponsor

20th June, 2026

Retford FC's return to the Macron NCEL has begun with the news that they have announced a new ground sponsorship agreement with long-standing supporters Green Bros.

The partnership sees the Rail Ground officially renamed the Green Bros. Rail Stadium, marking the beginning of a two‑year naming‑rights deal that keeps the club firmly connected to its local roots.

Green Bros., a family‑run business established in 2005, has grown from its first branch in Barnsley to become a trusted name across Doncaster and Retford.

Known for their plumbing and electrical wholesale expertise, as well as their impressive kitchen, bathroom and lighting showrooms, the company has built a reputation for quality, reliability, and strong community values.

Their expansion into Retford has seen the Green family become increasingly woven into the fabric of the club, including through their involvement in Retford FC’s junior section.

The new sponsorship further cements that connection.

Retford FC chairman Chris Woodhead expressed his delight at securing the deal, emphasising both the club’s gratitude and the significance of the partnership, saying: "We’re absolutely delighted that Green Bros. have taken on the naming rights to the ground.

"The Green family have supported the club for many years and play an active role in our junior section, so they’re very much part of the DNA of Retford FC.

"This agreement is a real boost for us in pre‑season. It strengthens the club at an important time, and I’ve no doubt Green Bros. will benefit from the partnership as well."

The club is proud to see another Retford‑based business commit to its future.

With the new season approaching and momentum building both on and off the pitch, the hope is that this announcement will encourage more local companies to get involved.
