A hat-trick from Jamie Austin helped Dearne & District maintain their three-point lead at the top of the Macron NCEL Premier Division after their 5-1 home win over Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in midweek.

Luke Skelton and Curtis Wilkinson also found the net as they comfortably beat their visitors who were promoted alongside them from Division One in the summer.

Keelan Grist got a consolation for the Briggers but the defeat sees them drop to eighth in the table after a busy midweek of league action.

Bottesford Town keep on Dearne’s coattails as they won 2-0 at Thackley to strengthen their grip on second spot.

Nathaneal Dyer put the Poachers ahead on the hour mark before Jake Brown made sure of the points in stoppage time.

Knaresborough Town climb into third, five points behind Bottesford, after William Lenehan’s 76th-minute winner secured a 2-1 victory at Penistone Church.

Matthew Lee had given the home side a twelfth-minute lead before Nathan Cartman levelled close to half-time.

Knaresborough go above Retford United who were beaten 1-0 at Parkgate, Alexander Asaba with the decider in the opening minute, for a vital win that moves the Steelmen out of the bottom two.

Barton Town, Retford FC and Horbury Town all picked up victories to complete the top seven of the table.

Thomas Waudby struck twice and there was one each for Albie Collier and Matthew Stafford as Barton defeated visitors Pickering Town 4-0.

A brace in the final quarter-of-an-hour from Aaron Sennett-Neilson saw Retford FC win 3-1 at home to basement side Keighley Town.

Meanwhile, Joel Feirn and Joseph Angell found the net for Horbury in their 2-0 home win over Tadcaster Albion who drop into the relegation zone.

Oliver Nowak got the only goal of the game as Rossington Main prevailed 1-0 at Campion whilst Albion Sports came from behind to snatch a 2-1 home win over Frickley Athletic.

Danny Edwards claimed a hat-trick whilst Kieron Batey, Jonathan Mwembie and Joseph Colley also got on the scoresheet for Muj Malik’s side.

Selby Town stay fifth despite a 1-1 draw at Leeds UFCA, the home side grabbing a point in stoppage time through Sidiba Krubally after Maximillian Bauer had given the Robins a 43rd minute lead.

LIV remain just outside the play-off zone after they salvaged a point with an injury-time Rhys Whincup equaliser in a 2-2 home draw with Crowle Colts.

Finley Harding and Bayley Lowe were the scorers for Armthorpe Welfare as they climb to eighth after their 2-0 victory at Ilkley Town.

James Eyles got two of Wakefield AFC’s goals as they defeated visitors Hemsworth Miners Welfare 3-1 to move up to ninth.

And, Winterton Rangers now complete the top ten after their 2-0 home victory over Kinsley Boys, Lewis Walker and Tyler Hamilton with the goals that see Kinsley drop into eleventh.

Meanwhile, late goals for Lewis Graham and Scott Hutchinson ensured a 2-0 home win for Club Thorne Colliery as they go up into fourteenth following their victory against Appleby Frodingham.

In the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup, Athersley Recreation’s home Second Round tie with Silkstone United was abandoned for a second week running due to floodlight failure.

But, as the Rec were leading 7-0 when the lights went out just before the hour mark, the County FA has ruled that the result will stand.

Kane Reece got a couple of the goals whilst James Woodhouse, Tom Mestre, Nathan Perks, Spencer Todd and Khalid Suleiman all added to the tally.

However, Wombwell Town are out of the competition as they were beaten 1-0 at home by former NCEL side Nostell Miners Welfare.
