Two of the top three sides in the Macron NCEL Premier Division met on Saturday and it was as tight as expected as they played out a goalless draw.

Visitors Dearne & District stay three points clear of second-placed Bottesford Town after their stalemate at Retford United as the Poachers were also held 0-0 at home to Parkgate.

Knaresborough Town climb up into fourth, three points behind Retford United following their 3-3 draw at Tadcaster Albion in one of two games played on Friday night.

They looked to have claimed a victory when Nathan Cartman gave them a 3-2 lead going into the final quarter-of-an-hour but Curtis Senior popped up for the Brewers in stoppage time to ensure the points were shared.

The other Friday night game saw Campion canter to a 4-0 win at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic with two goals each for Shay Muirhead and Ewan Gregson.

They climb to seventh whilst the Briggers drop to sixth, overtaken by Barton Town who were 3-1 victors at Golcar United.

The home side took the lead in the nineteenth minute through George Doyle, but the Swans took control in the second half with goals from Albie Collier, Danny Earl and George Dawber.

Dominic Weston and Souleymane Coulibaly struck towards the end of the opening period as Pickering Town dispatched visitors Retford FC, 2-1, with a Bernard Nsiah Yaa penalty as a late consolation for the Choughs.

As a result, the Pikes go above their opponents into eighth.

Despite being reduced to ten men, Handsworth salvaged a point with an injury-time equaliser from Jonathan Williams as they drew 2-2 at Rossington Main and the Ambers drop to tenth.

Frickley Athletic hauled themselves out of the bottom two as Samuel Cable and Joel Spencer struck in the second period for a 2-0 home win over Thackley.

Keighley Town are now six points adrift at the foot of the table following their 3-0 loss to visitors Penistone Church, Harry Viggars and Reece High with late goals to seal the win after Nathan Keightley had broken the deadlock from the penalty spot.

And, Thomas Brook was amongst the scorers for Horbury Town, netting twice as they won 4-1 at home Albion Sports to move up into twelfth.

Division One leaders Brigg Town remain three points clear at the summit as their unbeaten run was extended to ten games with a 4-2 home victory over Winterton Rangers.

Reece York, Joshua Batty and Dayle Southwell’s goals helped Brigg race into a 3-0 lead over their neighbours before Tyler Hamilton gave Rangers hope by the interval.

Batty’s second put the game beyond doubt, though, in the 77th minute with Charlie Weeks adding to Rangers’ tally towards the end.

Second-placed Field Olympic were 3-0 victors at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Omar Habeeb’s double adding to an opener from Danny Edwards.

Wombwell Town’s 6-1 home win over Immingham Town lifts them into third with two goals each for Oliver Fearon and Daniel Youel whilst Nash Connolly and Morgan James also got on the scoresheet.

That was after Oliver Graham had given Immingham a second-minute lead, but his side’s defeat means they drop into the bottom two following Appleby Frodingham’s victory against visitors Harrogate Railway Athletic.

James Chester struck twice, sandwiching an Ethan Bojang goal, as App-Frod led 3-0 at the break with Alex Burton reducing Rail’s deficit around the hour mark.

LIV, Route One Rovers and Kinsley Boys closed the gap on the top five with victories.

James Nichol’s got four of LIV’s goals as they won 7-0 at Athersley Recreation, George Walmsley, Jake Harman and Noan Lyon also scoring as they keep hold of sixth spot.

Umar Ali Zahoor also found the net for times as Rovers were 5-1 home victors over South Leeds.

Nathan Stephenson had given the away side an early lead but Rovers stormed to the win with Reece Thompson also scoring for the Myra Shay side.

And, Kinsley edged a single-goal game at home to Leeds UFCA, Lucas Stubbs with the vital strike that came in the third minute.

Tawheed Ahmed, Matthias Britton and Helmo Sandro-Mendes were the scorers as Ilkley Town picked up a big 3-0 home win over high-flying Goole AFC.

It moves them three points clear of the danger zone whilst Goole fall to fourth.

Early goals from Atley Jackson, Jamal Stewart and Carlo Midwinter saw Crowle Colts take the points as they weathered a second-half comeback from visitors Club Thorne Colliery to win 3-2.

William Gomes and Jordan Buckham struck for Thorne but they could not find an equaliser in the final moments.

And, it was honours even between hosts Armthorpe Welfare and their visitors Wakefield AFC, James Eyles equalising for the away side in a 1-1 draw after Alfie Charlotte’s deadlock-breaker.
