Macron NCEL Premier Division leaders Tadcaster Albion have seen their lead at the top cut to two points after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Thackley.

Oliver Green put the Brewers ahead in the 48th minute but Thomas Whelan ensured it was a point apiece as he levelled the scores for the Dennyboys with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.

Second-placed Barton Town closed the gap as they won 2-0 at Penistone Church, Craig King's first half opener added to from the penalty spot by Thomas Waudby in the second period.

A further point behind in third are Liversedge who, thanks to a double from Ryan Watson, defeated visitors Knaresborough Town 3-1 after Daniel Hartley had given the hosts the breakthrough whilst Ezio de Santis grabbed a late consolation for the visitors.

Pickering Town replace Penistone in fourth after their 2-1 win at home to Wombwell Town on Friday night, Ben Silburn and Roan Shirley with their goals sandwiching an equaliser from Jack Wilson.

Parkgate took a two goal lead through Alex Wonham and Jenson Ridge in the opening 34 minutes before a Martyn Woolford spot kick in first half injury time brought visitors Frickley Athletic back into the game.

Thomas Alngohuro then made sure the spoils were shared in a 2-2 draw with his 54th minute goal and Parkgate climb to sixth whilst Frickley move up into eighth.

At the other end of the table, Golcar United and Albion Sports got their league seasons underway with their first victories of the campaign.

Alfie Wilkinson and Jerome Bedeau were the scorers for Golcar as they won 2-1 at home to Horbury Town on Friday night, the defeat dropping the away side down into the basement.

And, Sports were 4-1 victors, Nathan Cartman netting twice along with one each for Thomas Ponter and Niall Heaton, as they took all three points from their trip to Bottesford Town.

Alexander Hardwick got both of Sheffield's goals in their 2-0 home win over Eccleshill United and Paul Sherburn popped up in stoppage time to grab a point for Rossington Main as they drew 1-1 with visitors Campion.

And, Beverley Town came away from Handsworth with a 4-0 victory, courtesy of a goal each from Nathan Ofori, Samuel Opoku, Luke Suluburic and Glen Sani.

The top five in Division One remains the same as they all won with Dearne & District keeping their place at the top of the pile following a single-goal victory at Route One Rovers.

Adam Baskerville's 40th minute decider means they stay a point ahead of Harrogate Railway Athletic who won 5-0 at Glasshoughton Welfare, Harris Eggleston striking twice with Dominic Creamer, Harry Atkinson and Alex Burton adding to the Rail's tally.

Wakefield AFC maintain third spot after Max Rhodes' opener, added to by Ashley Flynn twice and one each from Tom Hinton and James Tetley, in a 5-1 home victory against Armthorpe Welfare.

Benjamin Pike, Josh Brown, Finley Durkin and Connor Glavin were the scorers for fourth-placed Wosbrough Bridge Athletic as they defeated visitors Brigg Town 4-2 in the division's Friday night game.

And, Club Thorne Colliery continue to complete the top five after Dominic Mellor, Lewis Walker, Nathaniel Muenda and William Gomes found the net in a 4-0 victory at Selby Town.

South Leeds have been overtaken by four clubs after their 2-0 loss at Maltby Main, Harry Middleton and Curtis Morrison with the goals that move the Muglet Lane side above their visitors into eighth.

Crowle Colts replace South Leeds in sixth after Sam Goodhand, Lee Ridley, Henry Cook and finally a penalty from Declan Becon saw them beat away side Winterton Rangers 4-1.

A Luke Sellars penalty was added to by Mitchell Carlton and Ashley Worsfold for Goole AFC who climb to seventh after their 3-0 win at a Doncaster City side that played most of the game with nine men after two sendings off.

Leeds UFCA are up into ninth after they came from behind to win comfortably 5-1 at home to Athersley Recreation, Omar Sanyang with a brace for the hosts after the Rec had taken the lead through Shay Bould.

Meanwhile, in the only draw in Division One this weekend, Will Pennell's opener for Louth Town was cancelled out by an own goal for hosts Ilkley Town as they shared two goals and the points.
