The Macron Northern Counties East Football League are delighted to confirm the appointment of Martyn Girdham as a director on the league's board.

Martyn is a well-known face across the NCEL in his role at Winterton Rangers, where he has been since 1989, being a major contributor to the match programme.

He is also responsible for the boardroom on a matchday, welcoming match officials, visiting club officials and guests before the game and again at half-time.

He has also enjoyed looking after guests in the hospitality lounge at the Finals of the JCP Construction NCEL Cup (in memory of James Hitchcock) at both Doncaster Rovers and Scunthorpe United.

Prior to joining Winterton, Martyn spent over a decade at Scunthorpe United in their Football League days at the Old Show Ground.

The Board are delighted to welcome Martyn on board and believe that his knowledge of the game (he has attended matches at all levels of football and over 2,500 grounds), National League System, NCEL in general and balanced view of events will be an asset to the league.
