"Myself and a handful of merry men want to honour her and complete this event, raising money for her chosen charity.

"The merry men include Matthew Sutton, Graeme Sutton, Matthew Hillary, Craig Hillary and me, Jody Barford, others are welcome so don't be shy get your trainers on and have a go!!

"At her funeral recently, we received a very generous collection for the charity and our aim is to add more to the pot before we donate it all.

New chairman at Brigg

3rd February, 2016

Tim Harris has taken over as chairman at Brigg Town following the stepping down of Craig Tock.

He will also remain the club's football secretary and will oversee all goings on at the Hawthorns.

Harris returned to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side eighteen months after a successful stint as commercial director at Carlton Town and Nottingham Forest Ladies.

With over 21 years in the game from the Championship through almost every level, he has seen and dealt with almost everything, and the Zebras wish him all the luck possible and anyone who would like to contact him can do so at the club most days.

The news comes as Tim's twin brother and former Brigg Town chairman Simon Harris has taken the role at Division One side Grimsby Borough for his second term at the Wilderness Boys.

So, what are the odds of there being a pre-season friendly between the two teams in the summer?

"We would like to invite applications for the management position.

"They need to be made with a CV to chairman Simon Harris at simonharris59@gmail.com or secretary Tim Harris at uksoccersafe@gmail.com."

The deadline for applications is midday on Wednesday 21st October, 2015.

Zebras in mourning

31st July, 2015

It is with immense sadness that Brigg Town has to announce the death of its longest serving stalwart, Jack Dunderdale.

Jack had been involved at the club since he was a young man, holding every position at the club at some time.

He is survived by his wife Bernie and the children.

Secretary Tim Harris said: "Jack was Brigg Town, everyone knew him and he them.

"As a club, we are poorer without him and, as a man, I am poorer also.

"We are still awaiting details of the funeral and people will be updated soon as we know."

Chairman Simon Harris added: "This place will feel empty without such a great man."

A minute's silence will be held prior Saturday's home friendly fixture with cricketer Steve Harmison's Ashington FC.
