Parkgate appeal for volunteers
1st February, 2016
Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Parkgate are looking for volunteers to fill three important positions at the club.
The Steelmen need a kit man whose main task would be to set out the players' kit on matchdays and collect it after the game ready for the laundering process but they will not be expected to be the one doing the laundering.
Also being sought is a programme editor whose task would be to obtain information and prepare it for publication.
The third volunteer is a press officer who would prepare match reports for distribution to local media and websites.
The programme editor and press officer roles could be combined with computer skills a distinct advantage.
If anyone would like to pursue these positions or know of anyone else who is capable and committed enough to make a success of any of these tasks, they are asked to contact the Parkgate FC secretary Bruce Bickerdike on 07831 664710 or club chairman Albert Dudill on 01709 719459.
A club spokesperson said: "Volunteers! Where would we be without them? Struggling to survive, in all probability!
"The club can always make use of reliable volunteers, male or female, young or old. Just get in touch and see how you can help."
