NCEL Division One side Wakefield AFC have announced that Junior Roberti has stepped down as the club's first team manager.

His departure came following Saturday's 2-1 loss at South Leeds, a defeat that has left the Millennium Stadium outfit in thirteenth position in the table.

A statement was released by the club on social media that read: "The club is disappointed with the results and performances so far.

"But, we have full confidence in the strength of our squad and believe that under new leadership we can push for a play-off spot and fight for promotion this season."

The interviewing process for Roberti's successor has been started immediately and applications are asked to be sent to secretary@wakefieldafc.co.uk.
