Carnegie hit by vandals

5th November, 2017

East Yorkshire Carnegie have become the latest Toolstation NCEL club to be hit by mindless vandalism.

The Division One side's joyful mood following Saturday's 3-1 victory at Selby Town was destroyed when they discovered on Sunday morning that fences and barriers had been damaged at their Dene Park Sports Club home.

They announced the sad news on Twitter as they were trying to come to terms with what they had found.

It is the second successive weekend that one of our sides has suffered vandalism after Clipstone had their clubhouse broken into.

In a show of non-league unity, clubs rallied around to help the Cobras with local Football League side Mansfield Town bringing a strong side for a fundraising friendly to the Worksop Van Hire stadium later this month.
