Rangers chipper about new shirt sponsor
26th May, 2016
Hall Road Rangers have announced that local award-winning fish and chip shop East Park Chippy is their new home shirt sponsor.
It is the latest news in what has been a busy week at Harworth Park for the Rangers committee after the appointment of David Ricardo as manager and then Steve Dixon as vice chairman.
East Park Chippy, owned by Matthew Kinsley, was recently voted Favourite Fish and Chip Shop in a Viking FM poll of listeners.
The sponsorship deal, which will run for three years, includes the main shirt sponsorship and advertising boards that run across the full width of the main pitch at Haworth Park.
"They look great," said Kinsley when asked about the deal. "It's fantastic to be involved with the great work that the guys do down at Haworth Park and I know we can have a great future together."
The first team will don the shirt for the first time in their opening friendly against Barton Town Old Boys on Saturday 9th July.
"I would like to personally welcome Matty and East Park Chippy to the club," said chairman Darren Sunley.
"It's brilliant to see local businesses getting involved with Hall Road Rangers and I think the new kit looks brilliant along with the full length pitch advertising.
"We plan to have a pre-season training session for the first team on East Park and then go across the road to Matty's restaurant for food before the hard work really starts this season."
