Thacker steps down as Rangers boss
16th May, 2016
First team manager Martin Thacker has stepped down from his position at Hall Road Rangers.
A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Division One side said: "Martin has been a great asset to the club and has done us well in the push forward to the realignment of where we want to be."
Chairman Darren Sunley added: "It has been great having Martin and his expertise on-board this season and last.
"His efforts in a tough situation have been appreciated greatly and, for me, it's not a goodbye as Martin will still be associated and will be in and around the first team.
"Knowing Martin as a friend and work colleague outside football, I know his reasons are right at this time."
Thacker said: "It's been great coming back to Hall Road Rangers but I have decided to resign as I cannot commit fully next season.
"I do wish them the best and will still be around the club and will be working with them to push forward.
"I can't thank the club enough for their support over the last two-ish seasons. Let's get the right manager who fits the club perfectly."
The club is now looking for potential managers who are interested to contact the chairman directly via email at darren.sunley@primarytec.co.uk.
