NCEL statement re. Hull United
21st April, 2016
The Toolstation Northern Counties East Football League has this morning released the following statement regarding Hull United.
The League Management Board at its meeting on 14th April 2016 considered League Rules 2.3.2 and 2.6 MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS in respect of Hull United FC.
The FA/League requirement is that all clubs must submit details by 31st March details of the ground to the standard required (Rule 2.6) for an uninterrupted period of the minimum of the next Playing Season (Rule 2.3.2).
Hull United FC failed to provide any documentation to confirm a ground for season 2106/17 of either ownership, lease or ground-share to the satisfaction of the Board.
"Any club not maintaining the grade set for the Competition may be relegated at the end of the Playing Season to a Step determined by the FA."
The Board therefore decided that as Hull United FC, not having received a grading certificate by 31st March and not having a alternative proposal approved at the relevant Board Meeting, it shall be relegated forthwith at the end of the playing season to a level determined by the Football Association.
At the request of the club it is confirmed that the Board has not made this decision public until after Hull United FC has played its last match of season 2015/16 (18/04/16).
Any appeal against this decision may be made to the Football Association as per League Rule 17 PROTESTS AND APPEALS.
There will be no further statement made by the League at this stage.
