Points deduction for Hull United
22nd March, 2016
The Toolstation NCEL have ruled that Hull United be deducted twelve points, subject to an appeal, after the Division One side played two players who were registered under the wrong status thereby making them ineligible.
A statement from the league said: "The club applied for a personal hearing to answer these charges under League Rule 6.9 and a sub-committee of the league's management board, empowered with full power subject to board ratification which has now been received, met to hear the case.
"The board carefully considered the club's comments, noting their acceptance of guilt and pleas of non-intention of breaking the rules.
"However, the board found the club guilty of these offences and advised the club of a twelve (12) point deduction advising them of their right of appeal to The FA under League Rule 17.4."
There will be no further comment from the Toolstation Northern Counties East League on this matter at this moment in time and any points deduction that is required will be factored into the Division One table once the period of appeal is over.
