Walden unveiled as Borough boss
11th November, 2015
Grimsby Borough have appointed Paul Walden as their new manager after the departure of Gary Precious and Andy Thornton earlier this week.
Walden, who enjoyed two spells at former Toolstation NCEL side Louth Town, comes in with the Wilderness Boys next-to-bottom of Division One and fighting to avoid relegation.
A statement from the club said: "Over the last couple of days, Grimsby Borough have looked to appoint a new manager very quickly due to their current position in the league to give the club the best chance of survival.
"After several very good interviews with other candidates, we chose Paul Walden as he has a wealth of experience, a terrific track record in this league and showed in his discussions with the club that his ambitions matched ours.
"Paul and the club know the hard work starts now and we will all do our best to support the first team as our league status is very important to our future.
"On behalf of everybody at the club, we wish Paul the best of luck."
