Management duo leave Wilderness Boys
9th November, 2015
Grimsby Borough have accepted the resignation of Gary Precious and Andy Thornton from their role as managers of the club's Toolstation NCEL Division One side.
They took over in the summer replacing Nigel Fanthorpe and Steve Newby who had held the job for eleven seasons and their last game in charge saw the side beaten 4-0 at Hall Road Rangers on Saturday.
The Wilderness Boys are currently next-to-bottom in the table but the highest point of their time at in charge was the 5-0 beating of local rivals Winterton Rangers back in August despite only having ten men for more than half the game.
A statement from Borough said: "The club would like to go on record and thank both Andy and Gary for all the hard work and effort they put in and wish them luck in the future.
"Looking to the future, the club will be reviewing the management situation and will be making a further announcement in the near future."
