Eagle flies in to Shirebrook
6th November, 2015
Experienced Toolstation NCEL manager Russ Eagle has become the new boss of Division One side Shirebrook Town.
He replaces Steve Whitehead who returns to his former role as assistant whilst Chris Millington has stepped down from his position in the dugout due to work commitments but has stated that he will still help out when he can.
Eagle, who was previously boss at Handsworth Parramore, Maltby Main and Parkgate, joins from Pontefract Collieries where he was part of the management team.
The club say that the decision to bring him in was made by Whitehead, adding that Eagle joins "with immediate effect and has already started work on strengthening the squad ready for derby day on Saturday when AFC Mansfield come to the Langwith Road Ground."
They also revealed that physio Chris Bullock stepped down from his role after their FA Vase win at home to Sporting Khalsa last weekend, saying: "We would like to thank Ginner for his time at the club and wish him all the best in whatever his next venture will be."
