Knaresborough Town were unable to take advantage of a reprieve in the Emirates FA Cup as their replayed Extra Preliminary Round Replay ended in a 4-1 loss at Bridlington Town.The FA had ruled that last week's encounter, that ended in a 2-1 extra-time win for the hosting Seasiders, was null and void due to an officiating error so the two sides reconvened at Queensgate in one of seven games that took place on Tuesday night.
And, the Pitching In Northern Premier League side made sure of their progress as they claimed a comfortable victory with Jack Dyche grabbing a late consolation for Knaresborough.
In the Macron NCEL Premier Division,
Tadcaster Albion made it three wins out of three so far to climb back to the top of the table as they dispatched visitors
Wombwell Town 3-0.
Matthew Mulhearn gave the Brewers a first half lead before Oliver Green and Desmond Okoro made sure with two further strikes after the interval.
The other three games in the division ended in draws with
Parkgate up to fourth after their 1-1 result at
Beverley Town, Alex Wonham with the Steelmen's equaliser after McCauley Snelgrove's spot kick had put the hosts ahead midway through the opening period.
George Brown converted a late penalty to secure
Pickering Town a 1-1 draw at
Campion to climb into fifth, cancelling out Patrick Sykes' strike in the 21st minute for the home side.
And, visitors
Barton Town led 2-0 through a Thomas Waudby brace but Joe Jagger halved the deficit and an own goal meant that the spoils were shared as the Swans move up into sixth following their 2-2 draw at
Horbury Town.
Meanwhile,
Harrogate Railway Athletic have jumped to the summit of Division One following their 1-0 win at
Appleby Frodingham, Alex Burton with the vital strike seventeen minutes from time.
And,
Crowle Colts were 2-1 victors at
Nostell Miners Welfare, Kieran Atkin and Henry Cook sandwiching a goal for the hosts from Charlie Austerfield, all in the first half.
