Rossington Main have claimed the last place in this season's JCP Construction League Cup Quarter-Finals with a win on penalties in their Third Round tie at Albion Sports on Monday night.

The hosting Lions thought they had gone through thanks to Ryan Conlon's twelfth minute opener but Main were awarded a spot kick deep in stoppage time that was converted by Ross Hannah to make it a 1-1 draw.

And, the visitors prevailed 4-2 in the shoot-out to set up a trip to Beverley Town in the last eight next month.

In the midweek Premier Division action, leaders Silsden AFC ended a four match winless run with a 2-0 victory at basement side Goole AFC.

Robbie Fox's penalty in the sixth minute was added to by a Casey Stewart strike soon after that and it means the Cobbydalers are eight points clear of Hallam who climb up into second after their 2-1 win at Campion.

Jamie Sharman and Leon Howarth struck either side of the interval for the Countrymen before Aidan Kirby halved the deficit around the hour mark.

Pickering Town are up to seventh following a late winner from Souleymane Coulibaly that secured a 1-0 home defeat of Handsworth who stay tenth.

A brace from Dominic Creamer, added to by a goal from Benjamin Parkes, earned Knaresborough Town a 3-0 victory at Tadcaster Albion to lift them into twelfth.

And, Bottesford Town came from behind to win 2-1 at Frickley Athletic, Aristides Cunha with both of their goals after Keanen Mannings had given the hosts the ideal start.

Horbury Town's advantage at the top of Division One continues to be whittled down as they drew 2-2 at fifth-placed Dearne & District.

Thomas Brook put them ahead in the ninth minute but Justin Circuit and Jamie Austin netted to give the hosts a 2-1 advantage by half-time before Samuel Kyeremeh ensured it was a point apiece with his leveller just before the hour.

The gap to second is now down to eight points with Wakefield AFC moving up to become Horbury's nearest rival, Muhamet Gashi and Shay Evans-Booth the scorers in a 2-0 win at Swallownest.

They go above Wombwell Town whose trip to South Leeds was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Brigg Town stay fourth after they went down 3-1 at home to an ever-improving Louth Town, Bailey Wright, Adam Millson and Harvey Lidgard with the goals for the White Wolves after a twelfth minute opener for the Zebras from Joshua Batty.

Louth now move to five points away from danger with all four sides below them in the table tasting defeat.

Bottom side Yorkshire Amateur went down 5-0 at Glasshoughton Welfare with goals from Kyle Fish, Kenneth Effah, Liam Flanagan, Alexander Clarke and Joe Rawcliffe.

Adbdulrahman Alghamdi scored for Appleby Frodingham but they were beaten 3-1 at home by Selby Town, Harry Clapham with a couple of goals for the Robins.

Nostell Miners Welfare lost 2-0 at Armthorpe Welfare with Alfie Charlotte and Ryan Ellison getting on the scoresheet and Dronfield Town went down by the same scoreline at home to Harrogate Railway Athletic, courtesy of goals from Harrison Eggleston and Dyllan Drovi.

In the chase for the play-offs Worsbrough Bridge Athletic remain outside of the top five in sixth spot after their 2-2 draw at Shelley, Harry Spooner and Lloyd Smith their scorers whilst Malachi-Ethan Bailey got both of the hosts' goals.

Seventh placed Ilkley Town, courtesy of a Szymon Czubik strike, were beaten 1-0 at Club Thorne Colliery.

Meanwhile, Maltby Main were 4-1 victors at Athersley Recreation, Ashley Flynn, Jenson Ridge, Angelo Tambini and Joshua Stead with the goals that means the Miners keep a firm grip on tenth spot.
