Ellis Hudson gave the Cobbydalers a 33rd minute lead and Kayle Price doubled their advantage early in the second period before Ben Grech-Brooksbank opened the scoring for the hosts just before the hour mark.
Hudson's second restored Silsden's two goal cushion but Thackley refused to lie down with Liam Hudson netting their second in the 82nd minute and that was the end of the scoring in what was an entertaining encounter.
George Doyle struck twice for 
Golcar United who keep themselves within touching distance of top spot after a 3-0 win at 
Rossington Main with Alfie Wilkinson's injury-time strike proving to be the icing on the cake.
And, third-placed 
Beverley Town beat visitors 
Barton Town 2-0, courtesy of goals from Cameron Connelly and Glen Sani to further strengthen their push for promotion in the second half of the campaign.
Penistone Church came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home with 
Knaresborough Town to move above Thackley into fourth after George Thewlis and Luke Stewart had put the visitors seemingly in control by the half-hour mark.
However, Wayne Hughes struck twice for Church in the second period to ensure the spoils were shared with their opponents who stay in eighteenth position.
Hallam missed out on a chance to jump into the top five as they went down 4-2 at home to 
Handsworth in a game that saw the visiting Ambers race into a 3-1 lead by the eighteenth minute thanks to a Harry Jessop brace and a Fernando Tavares strike.
Brodie Litchfield found the net for the Countrymen in the whirlwind start and Oliver Fearon reduced the deficit to one goal by half-time and that is how it stayed until Mitchell Dunne rubber stamped the away victory in second period stoppage time.
Jacob Pearson's last-gasp winner grabbed 
Parkgate a 3-2 home win over 
Winterton Rangers to move the Steelmen up to eighth whilst Rangers remain in the bottom two.
There was a 2-1 home victory for 
Campion as Ewan Gregson and Samuel Bradley netted to give the Red and Blacks the win over 
Frickley Athletic that sees them up into ninth spot, a point ahead of Handsworth who are now tenth after their victory.
Basement side 
Goole AFC took an early lead through Shay Muirhead but any hopes of a much-needed win at 
Pickering Town were quickly snuffed out as the hosts struck three times within the opening nine minutes, Harley Dawson, Omar Sanyang and Ethan Kachosa with the Pikes' strikes.
Souelymane Coulibaly added their fourth before the interval but anyone expecting more goals were to be disappointed as the game finished 4-1 in favour of the hosts.
And, 
Eccleshill United thought they had rescued a point at 
Tadcaster Albion with Hass Gorji's 87th minute equaliser but Elliott Andrew's second of the afternoon came in stoppage time to ensure the hosting Brewers secured a 3-2 victory.
Horbury's dominance in Division One continues after their 2-0 win at 
Nostell Miners Welfare means they are now eleven points clear at the top of the table.
James Cusworth and Samuel Kyeremeh both pounced just before half-time to claim the win in one of two games played on Friday night.
The other saw 
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic prevail 6-2 in the Barnsley derby at home to 
Athersley Recreation with Keelan Grist grabbing a couple for the hosts and there was one each for Joshua Brown, Lewis O'Connor, Lloyd Smith and Connor Glavin.
In Saturday's action, 
Brigg Town leapfrog their hosts 
Wombwell Town into third place after their 4-1 win at Station Road, a game that saw the Zebras take control in the last twenty minutes through a Dayle Hutson strike and a brace from Ashton Coley.
Muhamet Gashi's injury time decider sees 
Wakefield AFC move up into the play-off places following their 2-1 home victory over 
Louth Town, replacing in fifth 
South Leeds who drew 3-3 at home with a determined 
Dronfield Town.
Max Rhodes' second of the afternoon came in the 84th minute for the visitors to ensure the points were shared in a game where the hosts led on three occasions.
An early double from Alfie Dean earned

It means App-Frod and the Ammers have closed the gap to safety to nine points as they both look to rejuvenate their campaigns in the second half of the season.

Glasshoughton Welfare after their 2-2 draw with Bubacary Conteh Samateh snatching an equaliser for visiting Welfare in stoppage time.
