It was a perfect weekend for the remaining NCEL clubs in this season's Isuzu FA Vase as all four sides progressed into the Third Round on Saturday.The most dramatic game saw
Albion Sports share ten goals in a 5-5 thriller at home to Padiham before going through 5-3 on penalties.
The Lions found themselves 2-0 down by the twelfth minute but halved the deficit before the interval through Samaili Cisse before falling even further behind as two further conceded goals saw them 4-1 adrift as the tie passed the hour mark.
Nathan Cartman then netted a penalty and Fernando Moke Tumba's late brace brought Sports roaring back to make it 4-4 going into injury time before Cartman's second and another for the visitors added further to the tally.
Both sides then got their breath back for the shoot-out and it was Sports who held their nerve to stay in the competition.
Hallam join them in Monday's draw after Leon Howarth's 55th minute penalty secured a 1-0 home victory over New Mills whilst league leaders
Silsden AFC also went through as Casey Stewart's first half brace earned them a 2-0 win over visitors Ramsbottom United.
And,
Wombwell Town have kept alive Division One's representation in the competition as Jordan Kershaw and Jack Dando netted in their 2-1 win at Ashville.
In the Premier Division, second-placed
Golcar United closed the gap to the summit to two points as Callum Petch's early double helped them to a 2-1 victory at
Pickering Town, Harley Dawson with the goal for the Pikes who stay sixteenth.
Penistone Church, however, remain five points off the top in third as a Thomas Brennan own goal saw them beaten 1-0 at
Eccleshill United, the Eagles soaring to eleventh with their victory.
There were two goals each for McCauley Snelgrove and Glen Sani as
Beverley Town won 5-1 at
Campion and they move up into sixth spot, a point off the play-off zone.
Barton Town maintain eighth place after their victory in Friday night's game, Grant Tait, Thomas Waudby and Ali Spencer Aydemir with the Swans' goals as they beat hosts
Tadcaster Albion 3-1.
Gadhafi Kiwanuka's 84th minute winner, his second goal of the afternoon, grabbed
Parkgate a 3-2 home win over
Frickley Athletic to lift the Steelmen up into ninth spot and the top half is now completed by
Rossington Main who won 3-0 against visitors
Bottesford Town.
Ross Hannah grabbed a couple of their goals with William Sutton also getting on the scoresheet for Greg Young's side.
Knaresborough Town trailed 1-0 at home to
Handsworth going into the final twenty minutes but Cameron Bedford's equaliser was added to late on by Adam Priestley and George Thewlis for a 3-1 victory that keeps them out of the bottom two on goal difference.
The basement sides met with
Winterton Rangers 2-0 home winners over
Goole AFC, Reece Moody and Harry Griffin with the goals that extend their lead over the Vikings to six points.
There was a glimmer of hope for the chasing pack in Division One as both of the top two sides tasted rare defeat with leaders
Horbury Town beaten 2-1 by visitors
Ilkley Town who move up to fourth.
Joe Snowdon put the away side ahead on 26 minutes, Joseph Angell equalised early in the second half but Harry Brown grabbed the winner to inflict Horbury's first home defeat of the season.
Dearne & District remain eight points behind them in second as they went down 3-1 at home to
Selby Town despite taking a seventh minute lead through Jake Phillis.
Liam Love, Finlay Wade and Caden-Rylee McGrath scored for the Robins who keep themselves in tenth spot as a result of their win.
Brigg Town replace

Maltby Main and
Athersley Recreation drop to seventh and eighth, respectively, after they were both beaten 2-1 on their travels.
Glasshoughton Welfare, courtesy of a Liam Flanagan double, beat Maltby who had taken the lead through Ashley Flynn whilst Finley Durkin scored for the Rec at
Swallownest but the hosts claimed three vital points with goals from Alex Wonham and Samuel Foulds.
Akeel Francis' twenty minute first half hat-trick helped
Wakefield AFC to a 5-1 victory at
Armthorpe Welfare whilst there were also away wins for
Club Thorne Colliery and
Nostell Miners Welfare.
Nathaniel Muenda was the matchwinner for Thorne as his 84th minute strike decided a 2-1 win at
Shelley on Friday night and a very early strike from Antony Leech was the only goal of the game as Nostell triumphed at
Dronfield Town.
Connor Glavin struck twice as
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic prevailed 4-1 at home to basement side
Yorkshire Amateur and it was honours even between
Harrogate Railway Athletic and
Louth Town in a 1-1 draw.
