Nathan Keightley's hat-trick helped Penistone Church to a 4-1 home victory over Rossington Main on Saturday that extended their lead at the top of the NCEL Premier Division to six points.Leon Hurles-Brook also found the net for the hosts with Manasse Kianga grabbing a late consolation for Main on a weekend that saw eight matches take place in the top division.
Handsworth and
Thackley are now Church's nearest challengers after big wins moved them up to second and third, respectively.
Scott Ruthven netted twice for the Ambers, along with one each for Mitchell Dunne, Joe Parkin, Luca Defalco and Ben Harriott, in their 6-2 home victory over
Pickering Town.
George Harrison and Samuel Calvert were the scorers for the Pikes who dropped to ninth following their defeat.
Thackley, meanwhile, were 5-1 victors at
Winterton Rangers after going behind to a James Dean-Atkinson strike.
Nathan Hunt levelled with Tawheed Ahmed and Ben Grech-Brooksbank giving the visitors a 3-1 lead by the interval and their tally was completed with Grech-Brooksbank's second and a goal from Joseph Mitchell in the second period.
Silsden AFC fall to fifth after they were held to a 1-1 home draw by
Eccleshill United, Nash Connolly's 14th minute opener for the hosts cancelled out early in the second half by Joshua McKiernon for the Eagles.
A 5-3 win at
Bottesford Town means
Frickley Athletic climb to seventh in a game that was level at 2-2 at the break, the away side ahead twice through Robert Guilfoyle and a Cody Collins own goal that were cancelled out by Luke Bullement and then Aristides Cunha.
Charlie Dunkerley put Bottesford ahead on 49 minutes but Guilfoyle's second and then further goals from Jack Varley and Jamies Tomlinson saw Athletic regain their advantage and build on it to take the three points.
Lewis Waddington's injury-time equaliser grabbed a point for
Albion Sports who stay eighth following their 2-2 home draw with
Knaresborough Town after Bradley Walker had seemingly claimed victory for the visitors with his 85th minute strike.
Campion were 2-0 winners at
Parkgate, Aidan Kirby and Mackenzie Fraser pouncing in the last quarter of the game, whilst, in Friday night's fixture, it was honours even as four goals were shared between

Both sides were looking for a win to kickstart their season and two first-half injury-time strikes from Andrew Norfolk and Thomas Waudby gave Barton a glimpse of victory.

Dearne & District have closed the gap on leaders Wombwell Town to two points after a Jake Phillips hat-trick, a brace from Thomas Needham and one goal from Shay Evans-Booth saw them to a 6-1 home win over

Dayle Hutson scored for the Zebras who drop to fifth, leapfrogged by
Athersley Recreation who, courtesy of a Nathan Perks double, beat hosts
Dronfield Town 2-1.
There were also hat-tricks for Desmond Okoro in
Harrogate Railway Athletic's 5-0 defeat of visitors
Appleby Frodingham and for Gracjan Klimczak as
Nostell Miners Welfare won 5-1 at
South Leeds.
Harris Eggleston and Gregg Anderson added to the Rail's tally, Jamie Miller struck twice for Nostell and Benjamin Agu got on the scoresheet for South Leeds.
Club Thorne Colliery were 7-2 victors at basement side
Yorkshire Amateur, Adam Baskerville and Kyle Simpson with two each whilst Harry Brown, Jacob McLoughlin and Dominic Mellor found the net for the visitors.
There were 3-1 home wins for
Glasshoughton Welfare and
Shelley with Welfare prevailing over
Armthorpe Welfare as Daniel Hickey's opener was added to by a quickfire double from Alexander Clarke just before the interval.
Meanwhile, Adam Daffern, James Bootland, Craig Billington scored as Shelley beat
Selby Town.
Wakefield AFC defeated visitors
Louth Town 4-1, Daniel Trott giving the away side a half-time advantage before Kiyani Clayton, James Eyles, Jamie Allsop and Akeel France turned the game fully in the hosts' favour in the second period.
And, there was one goalless draw as
Swallownest played out a stalemate with visitors
Maltby Main.
