Athersley Recreation are up into fifth after their 2-1 win at
Club Thorne Colliery, Alfie Bakes' deadlock breaker for the away side cancelled out by a Joe Pugh penalty before James Woodhouse struck the Rec's second, all in the opening eighteen minutes.
A double for Joshua Batty, added to by one each from Ben Vazquez and Daniel North, helped
Brigg Town beat hosts
Yorkshire Amateur 4-1 to see the Zebras up above Swallownest into sixth.
There were home victories for
Dronfield Town who beat
Appleby Frodingham 6-2 courtesy of a Max Rhodes brace and a goal apiece for Arran Bovill, Billy Wright, James Lindores and Samuel Bebbington, and
Selby Town who defeated
Nostell Miners Welfare 3-0.
Edward Dry scored two of the Robins' goals whilst Harry Clapham also got on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, Wednesday's sole NCEL game proved to be a topsy-turvy encounter as
South Leeds and visitors
Louth Town played out a 3-3 draw.
James Law struck twice to give the hosts a 2-0 lead by the early part of the second period but Alex Aldrich and Daniel Trott made it 2-2 and Alex Carter put the visitors in front for the first time on 81 minutes.
However, the final word belonged to the home side as Nathan Hawkhead pounced in stoppage time to ensure honours were even in a six-goal thriller.
