Hallam top the early NCEL Premier Division table after a 5-1 win at Handsworth on Saturday made it seven points for the Countrymen from their opening three league games.Brandon Bradbury and Daniel Pudil had given them a two-goal cushion by the interval and their tally was added to by Leon Howarth, Rio Allan and Danny South before an injury-time strike from Scott Ruthven gave the hosts some consolation.
Golcar United are second with a maximum six points from their two matches following a 4-2 home win over
Rossington Main, a brace each for Callum Petch and George Doyle ensuring the victory whilst Ross Hannah and Manasse Kianga struck for the visitors.
Parkgate,
Silsden AFC,
Tadcaster Albion and
Penistone Church complete the top six with six points from their opening three games.
Parkgate suffered their first loss as hosts
Winterton Rangers got off the mark with a 1-0 victory, Joe Simpson with the 30th minute decider.
Ellis Hudson, Kayle Price and Luke Brooksbank were the scorers in Silsden's 3-0 home win against
Thackley in one of two games played on Friday night.
Tadcaster were beaten 4-1 at
Eccleshill United, Kieran Greenway's injury time penalty getting the Brewers on the scoresheet after home goals for Fredy Barnard, Matthias Britton twice, and a spot kick converted by Talent Ndlovu.
And, Penistone were 3-1 victors at
Knaresborough Town, coming from behind after Adam Priestley had broken the deadlock to take the points, courtesy of Lennon O'Grady, Samuel Scrivens and Kieran Ryan.
Bottesford Town were 2-1 home winners over
Albion Sports in the division's other Friday night match, Aristides Cunha's double securing the points after Eisa Faulding had broken the deadlock for the Lions.
Meanwhile,
Barton Town defeated visitors
Beverley Town 3-1, Grant Tait's opener added to by a Thomas Waudby brace before McCauley Snelgrove struck for the away side in stoppage time.
There is still no stopping
Horbury Town and
Wombwell Town in Division One as they both made it four wins out of four to start the league season.
Horbury, who lead on goal difference, were 3-0 home winners over
Shelley with Aaron Fell, James Travis and Isaac Donlon all striking in the final quarter of the game.
Joshua Nodder and Jordan Kershaw were the scorers for Wombwell, their strikes sandwiching a goal from Regan Kelly, as they won 2-1 at
Dearne & District.
Armthorpe Welfare are third, with nine points from their opening four games, after Lewis Shillito, Mahammed Drammeh, Tom Mestre and Alfie Charlotte all pounced in the last half-hour to claim a 4-0 home victory against
Athersley Recreation.
Welfare are ahead on goal difference of
Ilkley Town who, thanks to a Luke Baldwin double and a Joshua Parker strike, won 3-1 at home to
Selby Town with Alex Washington netting for the Robins.
Swallownest remain unbeaten in fifth after Spenser Sheppard and Billy Stafford scored in the final ten minutes to grab a 2-1 win at
Glasshoughton Welfare after Samuel Nelson had given the hosts the lead late in the opening period.
A Joshua Batty hat-trick helped
Brigg Town to a 5-0 victory at
Appleby Frodingham with Joshua Jordan and Jacob Norburn also getting on the scoresheet for the Zebras.
There were 4-1 wins for
South Leeds and
Louth Town, Benjamin Agu, William Law, Tyler Bussue and William Harling finding the net for the former at
Harrogate Railway Athletic, Desmond Okoro with the home side's goal.
And, Louth defeated visitors
Nostell Miners Welfare with one each for Bailey Wright and Harrison Dunn added to by two from Alfie Usher whilst Jamie Miller scored for the away side.
Morgan James grabbed a dramatic injury-time winner as
Wakefield AFC came away from
Dronfield Town with a 1-0 victory.
And, the match between
Club Thorne Colliery and
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic was abandoned in stoppage time as the hosts led 1-0, the game called off following an incident that will be investigated by the league.
