Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2015/16 #38
16th December, 2015
The only games to survive the continuing wet weather in midweek were the two FA Vase ties postponed from Saturday with Cleethorpes Town becoming the last remaining Toolstation NCEL side in the competition.
They won 2-1 at league rivals Handsworth Parramore on Tuesday whilst Tadcaster Albion went out in their Third Round tie, beaten 4-0 at Northern League outfit Sunderland RCA.
Cleethorpes took the lead at the Windsor Foodservice Stadium on 25 minutes when Marc Cooper converted a penalty but Luke Fletcher made sure the scores were level by the break.
And, just as it looked as though there would be a further half-hour, Louis Grant popped up on 88 to tuck home a winner for the Owls to book a home tie against Alvechurch in January.
Tadcaster, however, will not be joining them as a Colin Larkin hat-trick and an injury time strike from Michael Charlton saw Sunderland RCA through.
Meanwhile, games in the Toolstation NCEL League Cup, Premier Division and Division One all fell victim of waterlogged pitches.
