Thackley bowed out of the FA Vase as they beaten on penalties in their First Round Qualifying Replay in midweek.
They had forced extra-time at Whickham when Sam Cook equalised to make it 1-1 in second-half stoppage time and they then took the lead in the 104th minute through Joe Brown but the hosts levelled and went through 3-1 in the shoot-out.
Top spot in the Premier Division changed hands once again with Worksop Town returning to the summit after Kyle Jordan's early double helped the Tigers to a 4-0 home victory over Parkgate.
They go above Tadcaster Albion who drew 2-2 on their travels for the second game running, this time at Armthorpe Welfare with James Walker getting the leveller for the home side on 75 minutes.
Jahmal Smith struck twice as Clipstone won 3-1 at Rainworth Miners Welfare to go above their local rivals into third place whilst Bridlington Town moved into the top six thanks to a 4-0 home victory over Athersley Recreation.
Brigg Town climbed off the bottom of the table with their first points of the season, Lewis Dennison scoring two of their goals as they beat visitors Pontefract Collieries, 4-1.
Replacing them in the basement are Pickering Town who were beaten 3-0 at home by Cleethorpes Town but the Pikes have only played three league games so far this season.
And, there were two goals each for Gareth Owen in Barton Town Old Boys' 4-0 home win over Garforth Town and for Brian Cusworth as Maltby Main cantered to a 6-0 success at the expense of visitors Nostell Miners Welfare.
Division One leaders Hallam raced into a two goal lead at home to Bottesford Town but the away side turned the game on its head in the last quarter-of-an-hour through a Terry Barwick double sandwiching a Josh Nichols strike to win 3-2.
Second-placed Hull United's home game with Glasshoughton Welfare was abandoned early in the second period due to floodlight failure.
Dean Rick's two goals went some way to claiming a 5-3 victory at AFC Emley for AFC Mansfield with the Bulls moving up into third position whilst Ashley Flynn got all the hosts' goals to take his tally already to seventeen for this season.
Bottesford are fourth, just ahead of Hemsworth Miners Welfare who, thanks to a Bill Law hat-trick, won 5-2 at home to Westella VIP.
Teversal complete the top six after Daniel Williams' strike earned a 1-0 victory at Selby Town and Dronfield Town are seventh after beating bottom side Winterton Rangers, 2-0, at the Stonelow Playing Fields.
And, it was a 3-0 home win for Penistone Church over Rossington Main, Lewis Dickinson with two of their goals.
