20th August, 2015

Barton Town Old Boys, Bottesford Town and Maltby Main all won replays in midweek to progress to the Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Bottesford had the most comfortable victory as the Toolstation NCEL Division One side won 5-1 at Premier Division outfit Rainworth Miners Welfare to go through.

Scott Hellewell struck twice to give them a two-goal cushion by the interval, Terry Barwick added a third and then a Gareth Campion own goal and a Nathan Adams strike put them even further ahead before Jordan Claxton got an injury-time consolation for the Wrens.

Barton Town Old Boys needed extra time to progress at Squires Gate, Gareth Owen and Danny Chambers netting after the score was 2-2 after ninety minutes.

And, Maltby came from two goals down to win 3-2 at home to Ashton Athletic, Brian Cusworth's brace claiming the victory after Nicky Darker had started the comeback on 50 minutes.

Albion Sports, Glasshoughton Welfare and Nostell Miners Welfare bowed out, however, with defeats to Ashington, Runcorn Linnets and Congleton Town, respectively.

Clipstone top the Premier Division after a 2-0 home victory over Brigg Town who have yet to pick up a point, Alec Denton and Sam Finlaw scoring in quick succession late on.

Tadcaster Albion and Worksop Town head a cluster of teams on six points after away wins with Tadcaster claiming a 5-0 triumph at Athersley Recreation.

A Liam Ormsby penalty and goals from Adam Baker and Nick Black sealed the win in the final quarter of the game after Josh Greening and George Conway had given them a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Tom Elliott struck on 82 minutes as Worksop won 1-0 at Garforth Town whilst there were also second victories of the season for Staveley Miners Welfare and Bridlington Town.

Kieran Watson's double helped Staveley to a 3-0 home victory over Armthorpe Welfare and Ombeni Ruhanduka and Lewis Clarkson got on the scoresheet for Bridlington as they won 2-1 at Thackley.

Handsworth Parramore and Liversedge played out a goalless draw in the top flight's other game in midweek.

Hallam made it four wins out of four, thrashing visitors Lincoln Moorlands Railway, 6-0, to stay at the summit in Division One ahead of Hull United who have won all three of their games so far, the latest a 2-0 victory at Penistone Church.

Knaresborough Town won 3-0 at Dronfield Town with two of their goals coming from Bradley Walker, there was also a brace for Ashley Flynn as AFC Emley overcame visitors Hall Road Rangers, 4-1, and Nash Connolly repeated the feat in Hemsworth Miners Welfare's 4-0 home victory over Eccleshill United.
