The funeral arrangements have been announced for Bruce Bickerdike who passed away last Friday night following a short illness.

Tributes have been pouring into the league for Bruce on an unprecedented scale, showing the unmatched impact he had on non-league football and the NCEL over a number of decades.

And now, everyone is being asked to please join his family to pay respects to a gentleman with a wicked sense of humour and a great servant to grassroots football and also to the league which he served with such commitment and passion for this level of the game.

The funeral takes place next Thursday (20th), starting at 1.15pm from 2 Cardew Close, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, S62 6LB.

There will be a 1.30pm service at St Nicolas Church, 117 Kilnhurst Rd, Rotherham S62 5NG. [On street parking only].

And then a 2.30pm internment at Greasbrough Lane Cemetery, Greasbrough Lane, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, S60 1RD.

Refreshments will be available afterwards at Roundwood Pavilion, the home of Bruce's beloved Parkgate FC, on Green Lane in Rawmarsh and all are welcome.
