New co-managers announced at Rovers

30th May, 2025

Route One Rovers are preparing for their expected move across the FA's National League System to NCEL Division One by announcing new co-managers.

Junyde Anis and Mohammed Patel will be in the dugout for the 2025/26 campaign that begins at the end of July.

In a statement, the club said: "Junyde and Mohammed bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and leadership to the club."

Speaking about his appointment, Patel said: "I’m delighted to return to the club.

"It’s been a season of change and challenges, and full credit goes to everyone involved for successfully maintaining the club's status at this level.

"In my conversations with the club, it's clear there is still so much ambition.

"With a new league, a brand new home ground, and a return to the heart of Bradford at Myra Shay, there's a real sense of excitement, both within the club and throughout the community.

"I'm looking forward to this new chapter and to contributing alongside the staff, players, and supporters as we build on the foundations of our previous success together."

Anis added: "I am delighted to be returning to the club as joint manager.

"It's an honour to have the opportunity to build on the history and success the club has achieved in previous years.

"After positive conversations with the hierarchy, it was clear that we share the same vision for taking the club forward both on and off the pitch.

"There's a real sense of ambition here, and I'm excited to be part of a project that's focused on progress, development, and doing things the right way.

"With pre-season just around the corner, the hard work starts now as we look to lay the foundations for a strong and competitive campaign."

Route One Rovers are making a lateral move from the North West Counties League and their arrival in the NCEL is expected to be rubber-stamped at the League's AGM that takes place on Saturday 14th June, 2025, at Rotherham United FC.
