North Ferriby and Campion have begun the New Year continuing to stamp their authority on the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and Division One, respectively.

A Joshua Whiteley penalty and an injury time strike from Danny Clarke saw Ferriby take a 2-0 home win from their clash with Bottesford Town in front of the day's biggest crowd of 831.

The victory keeps the Villagers eleven points clear at the summit of the Premier Division whilst Bottesford remain a point above the drop zone.

Second-placed Winterton Rangers ensured the gap did not grow between themselves and the leaders as a Josh Walker hat-trick helped them to a 4-0 defeat of visitors Frickley Athletic with Jack Varley also getting on the scoresheet.

James Walshaw struck twice as Emley AFC claimed a 3-1 victory at Eccleshill United to climb into third, Iyrwah Gooden also netting for the Pewits whilst Matthew Sykes grabbed a goal for the hosts.

Garforth Town drop to fourth after a dramatic 4-3 home loss to Thackley in a game where they were 2-0 and then 3-2 down before a Daniel Coupland penalty had seemingly rescued a point in the 83rd minute.

But, Thomas Greaves popped up in stoppage time to give the Dennyboys an away win that gives them three priceless points as they climb to fifteenth.

Silsden AFC are also overtaken by Emley after their game at Barton Town was one of two matches in the division called off due to a waterlogged pitch, the other being Albion Sports' home tussle with Hallam.

Golcar United's charge up the table and away from relegation trouble continued as they thrashed struggling hosts Goole AFC 9-0.

Buddy Cox's hat-trick was added to by two from Kayle Price and Daniel Naidole with Nathen Woodward and Danny Stocker also scoring in Golcar's fourth successive victory.

Campion's lead in Division One is now thirteen points as Patrick Sykes and Marcus Day scored in a 2-1 win at Staveley Miners Welfare, Corey Glaves with a late consolation for the sixth-placed Trojans.

Ross Hannah was the day's top scorers as he found the net four times in Rossington Main's 6-1 home victory over Shirebrook Town, Tyla Bell and Gregory Young adding to their tally whilst Perry Richards struck for the visitors in the 86th minute.

Main jump into second above Harrogate Railway Athletic whose home clash with Dronfield Town was postponed due to an unfit pitch.

Selby Town's home match with Brigg Town and Nostell Miners Welfare's trip to Wakefield AFC also succumbed to a waterlogged surface.

Oliver Baldwin claimed a hat-trick for the second game in a row as Beverley Town defeated hosts Armthorpe Welfare 4-2 to climb to eleventh.

Horbury Town strengthened their claim for a play-off spot as Samuel Kyeremeh's brace helped them to a 3-2 success at Retford FC.

And, George Slack was the matchwinner as he scored the only goal of the game as Ollerton Town took all three points from their visit to Swallownest.
