Claisse takes over at South Leeds
22nd September, 2025
Tom Claisse has been unveiled as the new manager at Macron NCEL Division One side South Leeds.
He replaces Craig Ogilvie who parted company with the club at the weekend and comes just days after he left Premier Division outfit Frickley Athletic.
A statement released on the club's social media on Monday evening said: "Tom is a local man from Leeds and, after a chat with the chairman, the pair agreed that this is the right fit for both going forward and he is keen to give it his best for his local non-league club.
"He most recently managed NCEL Premier Division side Frickley Athletic on the back of a stellar playing and coaching career, becoming the captain of the RAF and UK Armed Forces football teams.
"And, a career which saw him turn out for the likes of Bradford City, Livingston, Emley, Ossett United, Tadcaster Albion, North Ferriby and other local clubs from professional football through the pyramid at non-league.
"Welcome to South Leeds, Tom!"
Claisse's first game in charge will be at home to Glasshoughton Welfare on Wednesday night.
Ogilvie leaves South Leeds
21st September, 2025
Macron NCEL Division One side South Leeds have announced the departure of boss Craig Ogilvie at the end of a week of managerial changes in the league.
In a statement released on social media on Sunday morning, the club said: "We would like to send our thanks and best wishes to Ogi on his future and would just like to put on record that the recent poor form hasn’t been through lack of trying from himself and the management team.
"Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out this time and, as a club who have never wanted to stand still and are always looking to progress, we believe that taking the club in a different direction is our best chance at improving results at this stage."
The news came after South Leeds' 3-2 home loss to Ilkley Town on Saturday, a result that leaves them sixteenth in the table.
His departure follows a change in the dugout at Doncaster City where John Powney has replaced previous joint managers Nick Buxton and Mark Atkins.
And, Frickley Athletic are also on the search for a new boss as they parted company with Tom Claisse on Friday.
