Clubs urged to join charity fundraiser

27th June, 2017

Clubs in the Toolstation NCEL are being urged to take part in a Walking Football festival being hosted by The FA and its charity partner, the Bobby Moore Fund, in Sheffield on Saturday 8th July.

Where: SGP Thorncliffe - S35 3HY
Date: Saturday 8th July
Time: 11am-3pm
Players: must be 18 or over to participate
Numbers: 6 a-side
Cost: £50 per team

The festival is open to everyone regardless of ability or background.

Since the Bobby Moore Fund was set up in 1993 to tackle bowel cancer, mortality rates have fallen 30% and over £23.5 million has been raised for research, but there is still so much more to do.

As the FA has kindly agreed to cover all festival costs, 100% of your entry fee will go directly to the Bobby Moore Fund to fund life-saving bowel cancer research.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive more information about the day itself including a Bobby Moore Fund fundraising pack.

All players will receive a FREE raffle ticket for signing up to the festival by registering on arrival.

Prizes so far include:
- Phillips Headphones
- Free tickets to Paradise Island Adventure Golf
- Sheffield Wednesday FC Tickets
- Sheffield Wednesday FC Shirt
- Family day out to Tropical Butterfly House
- England shirt signed by the Men’s senior team manager, Gareth Southgate

To register, click here for more information or call Jade Elson on 0114 261 5500.
